I grew up in the West of the U.S. and have had the privilege of associating with the original peoples of this continent. My paintings of the native Americans are a reflection of a deeply felt connection with their history and to the current, sometimes impossible challenges of maintaining some sense of dignity and autonomy while living alongside a culture whose history contains the reality of the systematic genocide of your ancestors .
All our prints are carefully profiled in our own printing studio where we can guarantee fantastically accurate and consistent reproductions of the watercolors using giclée (the highest quality) printing techniques . And, Alan has carefully selected the paper that his watercolors are printed on to one that most closely conveys the character and the luminosity of the original watercolor.
