This painting is from a photo I took in the North of Uganda near Gulu, in a UN internally displaced camp. This young woman was 17 yo at the time, was a war refugee in her own country, and had never known any other life.
All our prints are carefully profiled in our own printing studio where we can guarantee fantastically accurate and consistent reproductions of the watercolors using giclée (the highest quality) printing techniques . And, Alan has carefully selected the paper that his watercolors are printed on to one that most closely conveys the character and the luminosity of the original watercolor.
